Face oils are occlusives (ie, seal in moisture and prevent moisture loss), making them ideal for dry and mature skin.
Oils do not provide the nutrients and hydration of emollients (ie, ingredients that help smooth and soften skin) and humectants (ie, ingredients that attract water to the skin barrier), so we recommend using oils after serums and/or moisturisers.
Note: Despite its name, jojoba oil is a wax ester, not an oil. Very similar in chemical structure to the sebum in human skin, this emollient may be used by all skin types.
